Sarah Edwards Cakes is a small company focused on producing high quality cakes using the best local ingredients available. Sarah started the company in April 2005, baking in her home kitchen.

The company specialises in making beautiful, individual celebration cakes for weddings, birthdays… well any milestone really. These cakes are completely bespoke and each is designed and made to the customers’ specific requirements.

In addition to the celebration cakes Sarah Edwards Cakes also makes very high quality ‘everyday’ cakes which are sold at Farmer’s Markets and local specialist food shops, cafes and restaurants.

The concept of selling cakes at Farmer’s Markets is particularly appealing as one of the requirements for accreditation is that products must be largely made from local ingredients – which fits well with our own ideology. All aspects of the business have grown organically, driven by customer demand over the last few years. As a result the company has now relocated to our new ‘Cakery’, a converted dairy barn on the outskirts of Leamington Spa.

With over 25 years experience in making and decorating cakes, Sarah and her team concentrate on producing high quality, bespoke creations for clients looking for something special.

Great Taste Awards

The Great Taste Awards are presented each year by the Guild of Fine Foods. They are the Baftas of the food industry. There are two rounds of judging before the final awards are presented. Finally all the award winning products are displayed at the Speciality and Fine Foods Fair (London).

Sarah’s Profile

Sarah developed a passion for baking at a young age, always helping out in her mother and grandmother’s kitchens. Thoroughly enjoying the alchemy of baking - making and decorating cakes for friends and family birthdays became an obsession.

Sarah studied Sugar Art and Cake Decoration at college before being distracted by a career in the music and television industries in London. Sarah was finally able to fulfil a life-long dream of turning her hobby and passion into a career when she moved out of London and into Leamington Spa.

Sarah is a member of the British Sugarcraft Guild.
