Buttercream Piped Cake
1 - Day Class
Saturday 20th May 10am - 4pm
This is a great class to learn and practice how to work with buttercream.
I will demonstrate how to make American buttercream and you will then learn how to:
- level, fill and stack a taller than average Victoria sponge*
- crumb coat your cake and then apply and smooth the final layer of buttercream for a perfect finish.
- colour your buttercream
- use a piping bag and piping nozzles to create decorative piping effects on your cake.
- add finishing touches – edible pearls, cherries and sprinkles.
At the end of the class your cake will be boxed up ready for you to take home.
*A ready-made (baked by me) 6” round cake is provided for this class – no baking is involved.
Everything you need to complete the class is provided.
Drinks and snacks are provided.
Please bring an apron and a packed lunch.
